An Evening of Shakespeare
PLAYBILL: https://www.playbillder.com/show/vip/Chill_Bucket_Productions/2021/An_Evening_of_Shakespeare_90211 William Shakespeare is one of the most well known authors of all time. More people interact with Shakespeare at some point in their lives (education, artistic, or leisure interactions) than any other author. His words are the most quoted by any single author in history. With all of that widespread exposure there is, of course, controversy in Shakespeare's work. His words from 400+ years ago have different connotations in today's world and can be triggering. We have kept some language as written and adjusted in some parts. Our intent is never to offend, but we know that context is everything and we are committed to retaining as much of the original text as we can in the hopes of taking a look at the past to inform our present. We want to foster a conversation, because without understanding we have no way forward. Thanks for tuning in to Chill Bucket's 7th virtual production!
